Mint tea is national in the Kingdom of Morocco. Tea is drunk very sweet, strong, mainly from small glasses of 100 and 50 ml. It is also interesting that tea is drunk with mint, a herb called maramia from the sage genus, rarely with lemon. Tea is an obligatory end of a meal with meat dishes, it helps to avoid heaviness in the stomach and digestive problems ... Of course, to make Moroccan tea you will need a special tin teapot with an elongated spout, which not everyone has. But who wants to feel at least a piece of Morocco at home without such an attribute of the Moroccan tea ceremony, use his favorite home teapot :)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Boil 0.75 liters of water in a saucepan. Rinse the mint sprigs, shake and separate the leaves from the stem. Put mint leaves and sugar in one teapot, green tea in another. Pour 0.25 liters of boiling water into a kettle with mint and sugar. Pour green tea leaves with the rest of the boiling water and let them brew for about 3 minutes. Then pour the tea through a strainer into a teapot with mint infusion and mix well with a spoon.
  2. Put a sprig of mint in each glass, pour in hot tea and serve. If desired, you can also serve lump sugar and a slice of lemon.
