Great New Year's baking recipe - orange shortbread cookies. Very tender, soft, aromatic and tasty, like small cakes with jam. It takes 30 minutes to cook - very simple and quick. Orange cookies are perfect for both New Years and Christmas!

  1. All ingredients should be at room temperature.
  2. Beat soft butter and icing sugar with a mixer until fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla sugar, orange juice (1 tablespoon), zest of one orange, egg. Beat everything until smooth.
  4. Sift flour and baking powder into the resulting mass. Knead the dough with a spatula. The dough is soft.
  5. Cover the cup with the dough with a foil and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll up small balls from the dough. Put on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. In each ball we make a depression in the center for the filling. Fill the groove with jam.
  8. We bake shortbread cookies with jam in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 15 minutes.
  9. Put the finished orange cookies on a wire rack and let cool. You can add a little more jam to the finished cookies.
  10. Orange tea cookies are ready!
