I would call this homemade pie recipe not easy, but you can't imagine an easier one. You don't even need a mixer: mixed all the liquid products with a fork, added dry ones, mixed and you can bake the dough. Why Poor Student? The ingredients for its preparation are sure to be in any kitchen!

Delicate and fluffy pie - moderately sweet, and its texture reminds me of a soft gingerbread. Depending on the type of jam (preserves) that you add to the dough, the finished baked goods will differ in color and aftertaste. I had homemade strawberry jam, but it also works great with cherry, blackcurrant, cranberry, apricot ... whatever is in stock.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. To prepare this very simple and delicious cake, we need the following ingredients: wheat flour (I have the highest grade), kefir, chicken egg, any jam or jam, refined vegetable oil (I took sunflower oil), sugar, baking soda and salt. All products should be MANDATORY at room temperature.
  2. We immediately turn on the oven to warm up to 180 degrees. Pour 200 milliliters of kefir into a separate bowl, add a couple of generous tablespoons of berry jam, 2 tablespoons of odorless vegetable oil and 1 chicken egg.
  3. Mix everything with a fork until smooth. If you want, you can do it with a hand whisk or mixer.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine 260 grams of sifted wheat flour, 150 grams of sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of fine salt.
  5. Mix everything with a spoon or fork so that the dry ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  6. Now we pour the liquid component of the future pie into this dish. Poor student.
  7. It remains to mix everything so that there are no dry lumps of flour left. The dough is ready to bake.
  8. Lubricate the form with a small amount of vegetable oil - literally half a teaspoon is enough. I have a round silicone mold with a diameter of 14 centimeters at the bottom and 18 centimeters at the hem.
  9. Pour the dough into a mold - by consistency it turns out to be not liquid, but at the same time it is well fluid. Reminiscent of medium fat sour cream. That is, that insignificant relief on the surface of the dough never spreads. All this I say to the fact that the moisture content of the flour is different for everyone and it is quite possible that it may be needed more or even less than indicated in the recipe.
  10. We bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees. The readiness of the baking can be checked visually, but it is better to do this with a wooden toothpick, which should come out of the dough completely dry. I have a gas oven, bottom heating, no convection. The pie spent 45 minutes in it, and you navigate by your oven. Let the baked goods stand in the mold for 5 minutes, then take it out and let it cool completely.

  12. Pie Poor student. Step 11
  13. Decorate with powdered sugar if desired. Since the Poor student pie I baked on strawberry jam, I also decorated it with strawberries. By the way, the first to appear on sale this year are beautiful, even fragrant, but practically tasteless (unfortunately). Cook for health, friends, and bon appetit!
