Loose, fragrant and very tasty shortbread cookies in vegetable oil are a great option for baking from a minimum amount of ingredients in just 30 minutes! Due to the use of sunflower oil instead of butter, the cost of cookies is significantly reduced, but the taste is almost invisible!

  1. Prepare the required ingredients.
  2. Combine egg, sugar, salt and vanillin in a deep bowl.
  3. Whisk everything on a high mixer speed for about 2 minutes, until a light fluffy mixture is obtained.
  4. Pour vegetable oil into it.
  5. Whisk again at high speed for about 10-15 seconds.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
  7. Stir in portions each time, pour the flour and baking powder into a bowl of egg-butter mass.
  8. Mix thoroughly until smooth. The cookie dough should be sticky enough.
  9. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
  10. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  11. Lubricate your hands with vegetable oil, pinch off a small piece of the size of a walnut from the total mass of the dough, roll into a ball and put on a baking sheet.
  12. Shape the rest of the cookies in the same way and place on a baking sheet a little distance apart.
  13. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
  14. Budget shortbread cookies in vegetable oil are ready. Cool it slightly, transfer to a plate and serve.
  15. From the indicated amount, I got 16 small cookies - this is 270 g of finished cookies.
