Zebra cupcakes with sour cream

The name speaks for itself: striped muffins with a fancy pattern made of light and dark dough look interesting in section. Vanilla and chocolate flavors go well together. Making such a beauty is not much more difficult than pouring dough of the same color into molds. The recipe has been tested - the aromatic, airy dough is perfectly baked and rises. Even novice cooks will have no problems!

  1. Prepare the required ingredients.
  2. Take good quality cocoa powder.
  3. Combine eggs and sugar in a bowl.
  4. Beat eggs and sugar with a mixer on high speed for 3 minutes, until a fluffy light mass is obtained.
  5. Add sour cream and vanillin to the egg-sugar mass. Pour in sunflower oil.
  6. Knead the dough for a minute on a slow mixer speed.
  7. Take one and a half tablespoons of flour in a separate container and set aside for now.
  8. Mix the rest of the flour with baking powder and sift into a liquid base.
  9. Knead the dough again on a slow mixer speed until smooth.
  10. Divide the dough into two roughly equal portions.
  11. Pour the remaining flour into one bowl and the cocoa powder into the second.
  12. Using a mixer, knead the light dough first, then the dark dough.
  13. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
  14. Place paper capsules in muffin or muffin molds. If you are using silicone molds, you do not need to do this.
  15. Place a teaspoon of light colored dough on the bottom of each mold.
  16. Put a teaspoon of dark dough in the middle of the light dough.
  17. Then add again a teaspoon of light dough - try to place it in the middle of the dark one.
  18. Put the dark dough again.
  19. And again add the light dough - to this layer I have run out of it.
  20. Above is the remaining dark dough. So, the muffins will consist of three layers of dark and three layers of light dough.
  21. I got 11 cupcakes.
  22. Bake Zebra muffins in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
  23. Remove the prepared muffins from the molds and let them cool.
  24. Delicious and very beautiful Zebra cupcakes on sour cream are ready to serve.
