Berlin biscuits with curd dough and simple lemon icing.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Mix flour with baking powder, sift with a slide onto the work surface. After making a depression, put cottage cheese in it. Knead the dough with your hands, starting in the middle. Roll out slightly. Place softened butter in the center. Roll the dough into a ball and knead thoroughly again.
  2. Roll out the dough into a rectangular layer on a surface sprinkled with sugar, fold twice and roll out again. Repeat 2 more times. Cover the rolled dough with cling film and roll up so that the film is inside. Cover the roll and put in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
  3. Expand the chilled roll, remove the film. Mark (visually) the middle of the layer. Fold the short edges of the dough with "opposite" rolls so that they join in the middle.
  4. Cut the roll into pieces 2-3 cm wide. Preheat the oven to 220 ° C. Arrange the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Press lightly, giving them the shape of hearts, and leave for 15 minutes. Then put in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Prepare the icing. Squeeze the juice from the lemons and mix it with the powdered sugar.
  6. Cover hot biscuits with glaze, let cool.
