Chicken with pumpkin in a spicy gravy, cooked in a slow cooker, is very tasty, juicy and tender. Serve pumpkin chicken best with a side dish of couscous, sprinkled with fragrant fresh cilantro, if desired.

  2. Peel and finely chop the onion, wash the prunes thoroughly. Add onion and prunes to pumpkin.
  3. Rub the chicken thighs with salt and pepper and place over the pumpkin.
  4. In a bowl, mix chicken broth (water), tomato paste, zira, coriander, turmeric and 0.5 tsp. salt.
  5. Pour mixture over chicken and vegetables.
  6. Close the lid of the multicooker and cook in the Baking / Stewing / Frying mode, about 1-1.5 hours.
  7. Serve with couscous. Bon appetit!
