Delicate delicious festive salad of several seafood. The classic Neptune salad with red squid caviar and shrimps is worthy of being in the center of the festive table. With such a rich composition, it is not practical to serve it every day to the table, but for a holiday it is just an ideal option.

  1. How to make a classic Neptune salad with red caviar, squid and shrimps? By the name it is already clear that the salad is seafood, namely seafood. For its preparation, I chose shrimp, squid, crab sticks and caviar. In the composition of the salad, I do not indicate salt, you can optionally add it to the salad ready-made, but here you need to remember that the salad is seasoned with mayonnaise, which already contains salt; and that salted red caviar is added to the salad.
  2. Boil eggs until tender, cool in cold water. Divide eggs into white and yolk. Cut the squirrels: the method of cutting is arbitrary, but so that all products look harmonious. Place the chopped protein in a salad bowl. The leftover yolk can be used in salad dressing or not used at all (I did not use it).
  3. Remove defrosted crab sticks or crab meat from the packaging and cut into small cubes. Add the chopped crab sticks to the salad bowl.
  4. Immerse the thawed squid in boiling water and boil it for several minutes (3 - 4 minutes), do not cook longer, it will become tough. Throw the squid in a colander, rinse under cold running water, peeling of entrails and skins. Cut the chilled and peeled squid into cubes or using the preferred cutting method. Add it to the salad.
  5. Boil the shrimps in slightly salted water for several minutes, drain in a colander. If you use unpeeled shrimp, then they should be peeled: remove the head and tail, remove the shell. If the shrimp are small, then you do not need to cut them. My shrimps were large, so I cut them. You can save a few whole shrimp for salad dressing. Add cooked prawns to the salad.
  6. Add mayonnaise to the salad, mix everything. It is better not to add red caviar to an un-seasoned salad, otherwise the eggs may burst when stirring. It can be added to each portion of salad, or it can be used to decorate a salad, or you can prepare a salad in portioned bowls.
  7. It is recommended to chill the prepared salad before serving. When serving, the salad can be garnished with whole shrimps, red caviar. Such a salad will become a bright dish on the festive table menu. You can serve it in portions like mine or in a common dish or in layers in a ring.

  9. Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.
  10. How to buy crab sticks correctly? Be sure to pay attention to the expiration date of the product. Surimi meat (minced white fish) should appear in the list of ingredients in the first place. Important! Do not buy a product if it has frost on it. This is a sign of re-freezing. Fresh sticks should be free of gray and yellow spots, firm and slightly damp. If the product is sticky, it is spoiled.
