Ingredients

Directions

  1. Rinse the barley thoroughly several times (pour the cereal into a bowl, fill it with clean cold water, stir and drain the water). The water should become clear.
  2. Boil 750 ml of water in a saucepan and send the prepared barley grits there. Add 0.5 teaspoon of salt, bring to a boil and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 minutes, until tender.
  3. Groats can be of different grinds, so follow the instructions on the package for cooking time, or try when the porridge becomes soft.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and add barley porridge. Fry the porridge until slightly discolored for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Peel the sausages and cut into thin slices.
  6. Add sausages to the pan, stir with porridge. Add the remaining salt and black pepper.
  7. Beat in an egg, stir, cover and cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
