Sometimes I really want soft baked pastries on yeast dough ... Then I bake rolls or pies, which go with a bang in our family with milk. Of course, you shouldn't indulge in this often, but sometimes you can.

Butter bun made according to this simple and easy recipe turns out to be amazingly soft, tender and aromatic. By the way, the author of the recipe (thanks, Olesik) calls her lazy. This is because the workpiece is cut into portioned slices, and then baked like that. As a result, you don't need to cut such pastries - just take and break off neat pieces.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. The recipe for making this pastry at home includes the following ingredients: wheat flour, milk, butter, chicken egg and egg yolk (for greasing), sugar, vanillin, salt, as well as yeast (I have fast-acting, but you can just dry - also 5 grams, or fresh - 15 grams).
  2. Cooking yeast dough. If you use fast-acting yeast like me, do it strictly according to the recipe. Dry or fresh (pressed) yeast must first be dissolved in warm milk with a spoonful of sugar and left warm for 15-20 minutes for a frothy head to appear. If the yeast has not woken up, then you need to throw it away - the baking will not work. So, sift wheat flour into a bowl, add salt, sugar, a pinch of vanillin and fast-acting yeast. We mix everything.
  3. Then we make a hole and pour warm milk and one chicken egg into it. We send melted butter there, which needs to be cooled to room temperature.
  4. Knead the yeast dough. With your hands, the kneading will take about 15 minutes, and the kneader (bread maker) will handle it in 10 minutes. The dough is very soft and tender. Tighten the bowl with cling film (or cover with a towel) and let the dough stand warm for 2 hours. An hour later, we do a warm-up and return to warmth.
  5. This is what the dough looks like after the allotted time. It has grown well and increased in volume by 2.5-3 times.
  6. Cover the baking sheet with baking paper and sprinkle a little with flour. On the table, we make a blank in the form of a loaf of dough and transfer it to a baking sheet.
  7. Now we cut the loaf into 10-13 pieces with a sharp knife. We cover the workpiece with foil and send it to heat for 30 minutes.
  8. During this time, the dough will grow slightly, round up noticeably. Lubricate the workpiece with a mixture of egg yolk and a spoonful of milk.
  9. We bake a bun in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Let the bun cool down and you can break off delicious, soft and very tasty slices of fresh baked goods. Try to resist!
