Chicken puffs are a quick and easy puff pastry based snack that is the best alternative to takeaways and perfect for picnics and social gatherings.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces, add spices and salt to taste.
  2. Finely chop dried tomatoes and garlic.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, fry the chicken until tender, then add the dried tomatoes and garlic, fry everything together for a couple more minutes.
  4. Place the fried filling on a paper towel to remove excess fat.
  5. Cut the puff pastry into squares, cut the remaining pastry into thin strips. Beat the yolk lightly with a tablespoon of water and a little salt. Lubricate each square of dough with yolk. Put 2 strips of dough on opposite sides of each square to make sides and also grease with yolk. Transfer the resulting pictures to a baking sheet covered with parchment.
  6. Put the fried filling, cherry tomato quarters, not coarsely chopped blue cheese into the baskets. Sprinkle the puffs with herbes de Provence or thyme.
  7. Bake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for about 20 minutes. Serve hot chicken puffs, bon appetit!
