  1. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, fry the meat in coconut oil until it has a beautiful color. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients except the cabbage and simmer for 45 minutes until the meat is tender. Remove the star anise star from the dish before serving. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Chop the cabbage and fry in coconut oil until golden brown. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve the cabbage stew with chopped green onions and sesame oil.
