A la carte pies with meat, gluten free and keto friendly. The recipe is based on a French-Canadian version of ground beef pie. This dish is great for lunch and dinner every day. Pies are very tasty on their own, so they can serve as an independent dish. Season the meat pies with salad or sauce and serve warm.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Fry the ground beef in a skillet with a little oil.
  2. Once the minced meat has changed color, add the sesame oil and butter.
  3. Add thinly chopped green cabbage and 1/4 cup water.
  4. Let it boil, simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.
  5. Add the diced mushrooms, the chopped carrots, the chopped fresh basil, and the remaining water.
  6. Leave to simmer for another 20-40 minutes, until the cabbage is caramelized. Be sure to stir the minced meat several times during the entire cooking time. Remove from heat to cool.
  7. Preheat oven to 200 C.
  8. Melt the chopped mozzarella in a skillet over medium heat (this step can also be done in the microwave), remove from heat, then add sour cream. Stir until smooth.
  9. Combine the almond flour, coconut flour, egg, and cheese mixture in an easy-to-mix bowl. Stir until smooth, mold a ball of dough.
  10. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
  11. Divide the dough into 12 portions (servings).
  12. Roll each ball of dough between 2 pieces of parchment paper with a rolling pin or with your hands. Press each bite into muffin tins, lightly greased with melted butter.
  13. Also brush the bottom and sides of the dough with 2 tablespoons of melted butter, poke a few holes with a fork in each dough piece.
  14. Bake for 5-7 minutes.
  15. Remove the crusts from the oven, place equal parts of the beef mixture in each piece. Use a spoon to lightly press down on the meat.
  16. Return the cakes to the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes.
  17. When the cakes are ready, let them cool slightly at room temperature, then remove from the molds.
  18. Run a thin knife between the side of the baking dish and the side of the crust to loosen the cakes more easily.
