  1. Boil water.
  2. Pour oatmeal into boiling water. Stir occasionally and simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes, add salt and sugar to taste.
  3. After the oatmeal flakes swell and grow in size, turn off the heat and cover the porridge with a lid. Leave it on for 2 minutes.
