  1. Prepare all the ingredients you need. Peel and wash carrots and onions.
  2. Rinse the lentils several times. Finely chop the onion, grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
  3. Transfer lentils and vegetables to a saucepan, add bay leaves and cover with water. Season with salt to taste. Cook for 15 minutes over medium heat after boiling.
  4. Drain the water through a sieve.
  5. Add garlic, parsley and olive oil to the lentils. Stir.
  6. Leave the dish to saturate with the aromas under the lid for 7-10 minutes and serve.
