Spicy cinnamon chicken? Why not! We are used to the fact that cinnamon is most often added to pastries and desserts. But try this dish and you will always add cinnamon to chicken meat! This dish comes from Moroccan cuisine, where it is prepared in the so-called Tagine. This is a traditional container in the form of a pot with a conical lid made of Berber clay, in which various dishes of meat and vegetables are prepared. But since we do not have tagine, you can cook the dish at home according to a simplified version - in a deep saucepan.
The recipe is quite simple, but everything turns out quickly and tasty. Simply chop chicken and vegetables and sauté, and add raisins, cinnamon and coriander for an exotic sweet and sour taste. This dish prepared and served for dinner is sure to be an amazing culinary surprise for the family.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut the chicken fillet into small oblong pieces, fry in olive oil until golden brown and put in a bowl.
  2. Onion cut into half rings, fry in a pan. Peel the sweet pepper from the seeds, cut into small pieces and add to the onion. Add raisins.
  3. Return chicken to skillet. Add cooked rice until half cooked. Salt and pepper to taste, add a pinch of coriander, ginger and cinnamon.
  4. Pour in the broth (natural vegetable, chicken or prepared from a bouillon cube), mix. Cover with a lid and cook for 15 minutes over low heat.
  5. Sprinkle with herbs when serving! Bon appetit!
