The ginger New Year tree will be an excellent decoration for the New Year's table, will delight all family members and guests.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Let's prepare the dough. Place soft butter (100 g) and sugar in a bowl. Mash them or beat with a mixer at low speed. Melt honey in a water bath. Wait until it cools down. Mix honey, egg, butter and sugar and beat all ingredients until smooth. Mix the sifted flour, spices and baking soda well. Add the free-flowing mixture to the oily mass in small portions, stirring the dough well. It should turn out to be homogeneous and without lumps, a little sticky to the touch. Once the dough is ready, put it in a bag and refrigerate for 2 hours. So it will freeze a little, and it will be easier to roll it out.
  2. Roll out the gingerbread dough into a layer and cut out the stars
  3. After some time, knead the dough a little and roll it out to a thickness of 0.5 cm. At room temperature, it cannot be kept for a long time. After that, squeeze out figures of stars of different sizes with the help of molds. Prepare a baking sheet - line it with parchment or grease with butter. Transfer the blanks to it. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the cookies for 7 minutes.
  4. Prepare the cream: mix butter (200g), condensed milk, green dye.
  5. Fold the finished herringbone cookies
  6. Fold the cookies in the shape of a herringbone, smearing them with cream to hold.
  7. Decorating the ginger Christmas tree with cream, sprinkles and powdered sugar
  8. Decorate the top of the cookies with cream. Draw "Christmas tree needles" with the help of a pastry bag. Decorate the finished tree with edible decorations. Sprinkle with powdered sugar to simulate snow.
