Chocolate cupcakes will get a more festive look if they are covered with cheese icing and decorated with sweets.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
  2. Prepare dough for cupcakes. Put the softened butter in a large bowl and pour in the sugar, beat with a mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes. Then add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, soda and salt. Gradually introduce flour into the butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk (sour milk), starting and ending with the flour mixture. Introduce vanilla extract.
  4. Line cupcake tins (about 18 pieces) with paper rosettes or grease with butter. Divide the dough evenly into the prepared molds. Place the muffins in the preheated oven and bake the chocolate muffins in the muffins for about 12 minutes, then let cool at room temperature for 10 minutes. Remove the muffins from the molds and let cool on a wire rack until completely cooled.
  5. Prepare frosting. In a bowl, combine powdered sugar, cream cheese and mint extract. Spread this frosting on cupcakes and sprinkle with broken candies.
