Thanks to applesauce, such a cake turns out to be incredibly fragrant and quite moist. And honey and brown sugar give baked goods an even more original taste.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cooking ingredients.
  2. Apples are best suited sour varieties.
  3. First make the puree.
  4. Rinse the apples, peel, remove the core with seeds. Cut apples randomly.
  5. Put the apples in a saucepan, pour in a couple of tablespoons of water, cover with a lid and send to the fire.
  6. Stew apples under the lid for about 10-15 minutes, until soft. Cooking time depends on the variety of apples.
  7. If during the stewing, the apples let out a lot of juice, then fold the finished apples into a fine sieve so that the puree does not turn out to be too liquid.
  8. Puree the finished apples with an immersion blender.
  9. Measure out 200 g of puree and let it cool completely.
  10. Turn on the oven to preheat to 160 degrees.
  11. Send flour to a bowl, first take 250 g (about 2 cups with a volume of 200 ml), because the density of kefir and mashed potatoes can affect the required amount of flour. Add sugar, baking powder, baking soda and vanilla sugar to the flour.
  12. Mix thoroughly.
  13. In another bowl, combine applesauce, honey (if it is candied, warm it up slightly in the microwave), kefir and vegetable oil. Mix everything.
  14. In several stages, add dry ingredients to liquid ingredients.
  15. Stir until smooth. The dough should be as thick as pancakes. If the dough is more liquid, then add the remaining flour.
  16. Cover the baking dish with parchment. My form is 25x11 cm in size. You should not take a smaller size form so that the cake is well baked.
  17. Pour the dough into the mold.
  18. Bake the cake in an oven preheated to 160 degrees for about 60-80 minutes. Check the readiness of the cake with a wooden skewer. If the cake is already browned, but not yet ready, cover it with foil on top.
  19. Let the applesauce cake cool completely on a wire rack.
  20. Cut the cooled cake into portions and serve.
  21. Bon appetit!
