This wonderful cake made with milk and butter can serve as an example of the perfect homemade cake! The finished cake has a bright citrus taste and aroma, its texture is delicate and loose. A special decoration of the cupcake is a sweet and sour glaze made from lemon juice and powdered sugar and a little roasted peanuts.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the necessary ingredients.
  2. Butter should be soft - remove it from the refrigerator in advance.
  3. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
  4. Transfer soft butter to a bowl and add sugar.
  5. Beat the butter and sugar with a mixer on high speed for two minutes.
  6. Continue beating while adding the eggs one at a time.
  7. From half a well-washed lemon, use a fine grater to remove the zest (yellow outer part of the peel) and add to the butter-egg mixture. Stir.
  8. Mix flour and baking powder.
  9. Sift them into a bowl with a liquid base.
  10. With a mixer at low speed, knead a homogeneous dough.
  11. Heat the milk until warm and pour into the dough.
  12. Mix the dough again at low speed mixer.
  13. Pour the dough into a round shape with a hole in the middle.
  14. Bake the cake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
  15. Remove the finished cake from the mold and let it cool.
  16. Once the cake has cooled, prepare the frosting. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon (from which the zest has already been removed). All you need is 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
  17. Pour the powdered sugar into the lemon juice. Stir the mixture thoroughly until a white glaze is obtained, resembling condensed milk in consistency.
  18. Coarsely chop the peanuts.
  19. Drizzle frosting over cake and sprinkle with crushed peanuts.
  20. When the frosting has set, cut the cake into portions and serve.
  21. Bon appetit!
