Grissini thin sticks are Italian grissini bread. To sprinkle grissini, you can use cumin, salt, cheese, sesame seeds, poppy seeds and other products. In Italy, such bread sticks are in any cafe, restaurant.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Sift flour. Mix with yeast and salt.
  2. Add olive oil to warm water.
  3. Constantly kneading the dough, gradually add water to the flour. Do not rush to pour out all the water, it may need less, it all depends on the flour. The dough should be elastic and soft.
  4. Cover the dough and put it in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Then divide the dough into 4 pieces.
  6. Roll each part into a thin layer, grease with olive oil (or just water) and sprinkle any powder on it: grated cheese, sesame seeds, dry herbs, I have Provence. Or whatever you like best. With a rolling pin, go over the powder so that it is slightly pressed into the dough. Cut the dough into strips 2-2.5 cm wide.
  7. Roll each strip of dough into a spiral. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 20-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  9. Ready sticks to cool and store in a closed container or just wrap in a bag
  10. Bon appetit!
