A colorful snack cake on kefir is just a godsend for those who prefer savory pastries and are looking for an alternative to bread for first courses.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. A mixture of vegetables can be chosen at your discretion. I have green beans, corn, peas and carrots.
  2. Boil water in a saucepan or saucepan. Transfer the mixture of frozen vegetables to boiling water and boil at a low boil for 2 minutes.
  3. Then discard the vegetables in a colander, pour over with cold water and leave to drain.
  4. Dry the vegetables with paper towels to remove as much moisture as possible.
  5. Prepare filling dough. To do this, pour kefir into a bowl, heat to a warm state in the microwave (use dishes without metal elements).
  6. Pour baking powder and salt into warm kefir, mix with a whisk. Kefir will immediately foam and increase in volume.
  7. Beat the eggs into the kefir mixture, mix well with a whisk until smooth.
  8. Pour the sifted flour into the kefir-egg mixture.
  9. Knead a homogeneous dough, reminiscent of the density of dough for pancakes.
  10. Transfer the prepared vegetables to the kefir dough.
  11. Stir vegetable mix into batter.
  12. Line a casserole dish with parchment (both the bottom and the sides). Fill the form with dough with vegetables.
  13. Bake the vegetable pie in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 45 minutes.
  14. Remove the baked cake from the mold and let it cool completely before serving.
  15. kefir pie with frozen vegetables is ready.
  16. Cut the pie into slices and serve as a snack pastry or instead of bread for first courses.
  17. Bon appetit!
