  2. Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds and veins inside. Rinse the pulp, blot the moisture with napkins, then cut into equal slices 0.5-1 cm thick.
  3. Brush the sides and bottom of a heat-resistant baking dish with vegetable oil, put the pumpkin slices inside in several rows. Sprinkle each layer lightly with salt and ground pepper.
  4. Cut the cheese into large slices, put on the pumpkin.
  5. Pour a little warm water on the sides of the mold, so the pumpkin will steam and quickly become soft.
  6. Cover the mold with foil. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 200 degrees, set the mold to a medium level. Bake the dish for the next 20 minutes under the foil, then remove the foil, cook for another 5 minutes without it, so that the pumpkin and cheese are slightly browned.
  7. After baking, let the dish cool slightly, transfer to a plate, garnish with herbs.
