Buckwheat is a versatile, healthy porridge at a reasonable price. It is the most popular of cereals because it can be prepared in many ways. I offer a recipe for buckwheat stewed with pork.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut the clean meat into small cubes. Sort the buckwheat and throw it into the pan for a kind of calcination, so it will be more crumbly.
  2. Preheat a large skillet with a thick bottom and sides and sauté the pork fillets in it.
  3. Add finely chopped onions and grated carrots to it. Continue frying for another 5 minutes. Add tomato paste, salt and pepper and simmer for a couple of minutes.
  4. Pour buckwheat into the meat and vegetable mixture and fill with water so that everything is covered with it by about 1 centimeter. Simmer for 25 minutes over low heat.
  5. A tasty and healthy meat dish is ready! Serve it with chopped fresh herbs.
