A simple salad made from inexpensive ingredients - fresh cabbage, cucumbers and red onions. Many people are accustomed to preparing such vegetable salads with vegetable oil dressing. Try changing the dressing - add some lemon juice, grainy mustard and honey. The salad will sparkle with a new taste!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the ingredients.
  2. Wash and dry vegetables and herbs.
  3. Parsley greens can be supplemented with fresh dill, green onions, basil or cilantro.
  4. The more greens, the more vitamins!
  5. For dressing, combine honey, granular mustard, salt, ground black pepper and olive oil in a deep bowl (can be replaced with sunflower or sesame oil). Add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.
  6. Mix all dressing ingredients with a spoon. It will become thicker and more viscous. Taste and add salt to taste.
  7. Cucumbers cut into thin slices. If the peel of the cucumber is already bitter, cut it off first. Peel the red onion and cut into thin half rings.
  8. Finely chop the cabbage with a knife. Lightly remember it with your hands. Young cabbage does not need to be crushed. Finely chop parsley greens.
  9. Combine cabbage, cucumbers, onions and parsley in a bowl, mix.
  10. Pour in the dressing and toss the salad again.
  11. Cabbage salad with cucumbers, onions and honey-mustard dressing is ready. Let it stand for 2-3 minutes so that the dressing covers all the vegetables.
  12. A very simple and familiar salad in its composition pleasantly surprised me with a new fresh taste due to the original dressing. Lemon juice is refreshing, mustard adds a savory note, and honey makes the salad slightly sweet and aromatic.
  13. The crunch of cabbage and cucumbers is a favorite sound at the table. And no mayonnaise!
