  1. Wash the cucumbers, cut off the butts, and cut each into small cubes.
  2. Transfer the cucumbers to a bowl, add 1 tablespoon of salt and 0.5 teaspoon of granulated sugar, stir and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. Make a marinade: mix the sugar, salt, vinegar well. Soy sauce, crushed garlic cloves and bay leaves, and dried chili.
  4. After an hour, remove the cucumbers, drain the resulting liquid.
  5. Add the cooked marinade to the cucumbers and stir. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Already in the morning you can enjoy spicy Chinese cucumbers.
