A side dish for boiled or baked fish can be prepared from vegetables and legumes, seasoning them with unrefined vegetable oil or without it. It is best to use root vegetables by boiling them.

  1. Rinse the carrots and potatoes, place in a cauldron or saucepan, cover with hot water and boil for about 30 minutes. Then place in ice water and cool.
  2. Pour green peas into a ladle or frying pan with high sides, add 0.5 cups of hot water there and simmer for about 3-4 minutes until soft.
  3. Peel the boiled root vegetables, rinse in water and cut into medium or small cubes. Place in a deep container.
  4. Pour in boiled peas and salt, pour in vegetable oil. Optionally add chopped fresh dill or parsley.
  5. Mix everything gently together.
  6. Put the boiled or baked fish on a plate, then the cooked side dish and serve.
