Olives are the foundation of Mediterranean cuisine in general and Greek cuisine in particular. I offer you a classic recipe for Greek salad with olives - a very tasty, healthy and simple dish!

  1. Wash and dry cucumbers. Cut into fairly large pieces.
  2. Do the same with tomatoes.
  3. And bell pepper.
  4. Chop the onion into thin half rings. Better, by the way, to use a sweeter red onion - in Greece it is traditionally placed in salads, while white is used for cooking hot dishes.
  5. Wash greens and dry well. Chop with a sharp knife.
  6. Cut the feta into cubes about 1.5x1.5 centimeters.
  7. Remove the bones from the olives - to do this, crush each one with a knife. You don't need to cut them after that!
  8. Squeeze lemon juice.
  9. Combine all ingredients in a deep bowl or salad bowl. Season with salt and pepper. add oregano. Season with lemon juice and olive oil, stir gently. Serve immediately!
