Lazy khachapuri is a great option for a full breakfast! A ruddy "boat" cake is prepared from cottage cheese and cheese with an egg in a frying pan, to taste it is an unsweetened syrnik, but in appearance - well, exactly Adjarian khachapuri. I recommend giving it a try!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Transfer the curd to a bowl.
  2. Salt the curd and grind with a fork, breaking up large lumps.
  3. Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Add most of the grated cheese (about 40g) to the curd, setting aside a little to serve.
  4. Break the egg and carefully separate the white from the yolk. Add the egg white to the curd and cheese bowl and set the yolk aside.
  5. Stir in cottage cheese, cheese and protein thoroughly.
  6. Add flour.
  7. Stir again and collect the resulting curd dough into a ball.
  8. Dust your hands with flour and shape the curd dough into a sharp-edged flatbread about 2 cm thick.
  9. Heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan and put the curd-cheese "boat" in it.
  10. Fry the tortilla over low-medium heat for about 3 minutes, or until golden brown on one side, then gently turn over.
  11. Immediately, using a teaspoon, cut a round, non-perforated indentation in the middle of the cake, the size of an egg yolk.
  12. Place the egg yolk that we used for the test into this well.
  13. Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on the flatbread (10 g).
  14. Cover the pan with a lid and bring the lazy khachapuri over low heat until golden brown (3 minutes). The cheese on the surface should melt and the yolk should grab a little.
  15. Lazy curd khachapuri is ready.
  16. Serve lazy khachapuri right after cooking.
  17. Bon Appetit!
