This keto pie is light and crispy. The filling is roasted ground beef with a low carbohydrate content, cheese and cottage cheese. You can also change the flavor of the pie by adding hot spices instead of dried herbs.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven 180 C.
  2. Saute the chopped onions and garlic in a buttered skillet (medium heat) until the onions are tender. Add the ground beef, stir and brown the ground beef lightly. Add oregano (or basil), salt and pepper and stir.
  3. Add tomato paste, water and stir. Reduce heat to low and simmer for at least 20 minutes. While the minced meat is cooking, make a flour dough for the crust.
  4. Combine all crust ingredients in a blender bowl until the dough is sticky enough to form a ball. If you don't have a food processor, you can hand mix with a fork and then knead with your hands.
  5. Place a piece of parchment paper on the bottom of a 23-25 cm diameter, oiled split baking pan. Oil the parchment additionally so that the paper easily peels off the crust.
  6. Place the dough on the bottom of the mold. Use a spatula or hands to smooth out the dough. Grab the sides of the pan to make the cake tall. Once the crust has formed, puncture the bottom of the mold several times with a fork.
  7. Bake the crust for 10-15 minutes. After 10-15 minutes, remove the crust from the oven, add the fried minced meat and distribute evenly.
  8. Combine curd with shredded cheese and spread over the top of the pie.
  9. Bake on the bottom rack of the oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the top of the pie is golden brown.
  10. Remove the finished cake from the oven, let cool slightly, release from the pan and serve.
