Want to try a new and healthy dessert? In this recipe, you will learn how to cook dried pumpkin in the oven with sugar and cinnamon. This is a fragrant delicacy that both children and adults adore.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. First you need to prepare the pumpkin. If you have a large one, then cut it into several pieces. You can take several small ones. Wash the pumpkin, pat dry and place on a baking sheet. Send it to bake for an hour in the oven at 180 degrees.
  2. When the pumpkin has cooled down, peel it and remove the seeds. Then cut into slices about two centimeters thick. Place the wedges on a dry baking sheet and top with sugar. Place the baking sheet in the oven and leave the pumpkin overnight without turning on the heat.
  3. Now put the wedges in one deep oven-safe container. Pour the syrup from a glass of water and two hundred grams of sugar over them. Stir so that all the wedges are soaked in the syrup. Place the dish in the oven for 10 minutes at 100 degrees. After that, drain all the syrup and dry the pumpkin in the oven at a temperature of 100 degrees, so that it dries a little after soaking with the syrup.
  4. Then you need to sprinkle cinnamon on the slices and keep them in the oven for another 6 hours at a minimum temperature (50-80 degrees). This is a long process, but this is the only way to dry the pumpkin in the oven. When you have removed the wedges from the oven, lay them out on a flat surface so that they do not touch each other. Leave the slices in this state for 3 days so that they reach the correct condition. To speed up the process, the wedges can be cut into smaller pieces.
