If you are planning a quiet family or romantic dinner, and you want to cook something unusual, but are afraid to experiment and spoil the products, then I advise you to cook pork with mushrooms in a sour cream-wine sauce. Although the meat itself is soft, but thanks to the sauce it becomes extremely juicy, fragrant and delicious.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. To begin with, I note that it is better to buy lean meat, tenderloin is best. I bought a fresh piece of pork and, coming home, immediately washed it under cold running water. Then cut it into small cubes or pieces.
  2. Mushrooms are also well washed and cut into slices, not very thin.
  3. Peel onions and garlic and finely chop.
  4. Put on medium heat to heat the pan, pour a little oil and spread the meat to fry, stirring occasionally with a tablespoon.
  5. As soon as it acquires a golden hue (7 minutes) and lets a little of its fat, add mushrooms, onions and garlic to the pan, mix and fry everything together for 5-7 minutes, stirring.
  6. Then salt and pepper to taste and add about 1 cup of sour cream (quite fatty). Stirring thoroughly to soak the meat, and pour white semi-sweet wine. Stir well again, cover the pan, reduce the heat and continue to simmer the meat for about 40 minutes.
  7. At the end, add a pinch of nutmeg (ground), mix, taste the sauce and, if necessary, add salt and pepper. Stew for another 10 minutes and remove the pan from the heat.
  8. While the pork is simmering, you can prepare a side dish, such as mashed potatoes and a light vegetable salad. Pour the sauce over the potatoes, open a bottle of white wine and dinner is ready.
  9. Bon Appetit!
