Rice porridge with pumpkin

Pumpkin is considered a very healthy product. It contains many vitamins. Ascorbic acid will boost immunity, B vitamins strengthen hair and nails. Pumpkin calms the nervous system.

  1. Rinse the pumpkin and grate on a medium grater. Pour 2 cups of water into a saucepan and put grated pumpkin there. Cook it for 15 minutes over low heat. The pumpkin boils quickly, but if you boil it first, the broth will be richer and the pumpkin will turn into a puree.
  2. Sort the rice and soak in cold boiled water for 30 minutes.
  3. The pumpkin is already cooked. Now put the rice in a saucepan. You can boil the pumpkin separately, but the taste of the porridge will not be as rich.
  4. After 7-8 minutes, the rice will start steaming and growing in size. Pour in boiled hot milk now. Reduce heat to low and simmer porridge for 15 minutes.
  5. A few minutes before cooking, add sugar and butter to the porridge. Stir the porridge. Keep on fire a little more and remove. Wrap the pan with a towel and leave for a while to infuse the porridge. Both adults and children will gladly eat such porridge. Bon Appetit!
