The salad with crackers, sausage and corn does not pretend to belong to haute cuisine. You should not look for transcendental useful properties in it either: it is, rather, simply delicious at home. This salad also has a pleasant crunchy texture - thanks to croutons, canned corn and fresh cucumbers. Very appetizing! Just be sure to keep in mind that this dish cannot be prepared in advance or left “for tomorrow”, as vegetables will give juice that will soak the croutons and hopelessly ruin the taste of the salad.

  1. Prepare the sausage and corn salad croutons. To do this, cut off the crust from slices of bread, cut the crumb with a sharp knife into small cubes with a side of no more than 1 cm.
  2. Heat the oven to 170 ° C. Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Add prepared bread and place in oven. Dry for 15 minutes, turning occasionally. The croutons should be crispy.
  3. Remove the cooked croutons from the baking sheet along with the paper and let cool. Throw the corn on a sieve or colander, then rinse with cold boiled water.
  4. Cut the raw sausage into small cubes on a cutting board and place in a large bowl. Add cooled croutons and canned corn to it.
  5. Wash cucumbers and tomatoes for salad, dry. Cut off the ends of the cucumbers, cut the fruits into small cubes. Cut the tomatoes into halves and remove the bases of the stalks. Cut the pulp into small cubes.
  6. Wash the parsley for the salad, dry and tear off the leaves. Chop them finely. Add to a bowl of sausage, corn, and croutons. Put cucumbers and tomatoes in it. Salt and pepper the salad ingredients and mix with mayonnaise.
