This easy and quick salad with herring, cheese and quail eggs will pleasantly surprise you with an impeccable combination of products. Tender salty herring, juicy lettuce, green onion, neutral egg, crunchy seeds and cheese - a great combination for a perfect result. A dressing of fragrant sunflower oil and lemon juice combines the ingredients into a successful ensemble.

  1. Boil quail eggs in boiling water for 6-7 minutes and cool. Peel off the shells of the eggs.
  2. Prepare salad dressing. Combine homemade sunflower oil and the juice of half a lemon (about 2 tablespoons) in a small deep bowl.
  3. Cut the herring fillet into small pieces.
  4. Wash and dry lettuce leaves. Tear the leaves with your hands and arrange on a large plate.
  5. Arrange the fish fillets on top in random order.
  6. Quail eggs cut into halves and spread on the surface of the salad. If desired, quail eggs can be replaced with chicken ones.
  7. Top the salad with finely chopped green onions.
  8. Grate hard cheese on a fine grater and spread over the surface of the salad.
  9. Roast raw sunflower seeds in a dry frying pan for 1-1.5 minutes until golden brown and cool.
  10. Spread the dressing evenly over the salad.
  11. Spread the toasted sunflower seeds on top and serve the salad immediately to the table.
