Salad with tuna, red onion and cucumber consists of only three main ingredients, but they are so well combined with each other that they do not need additions. Salad without mayonnaise, dressed with olive oil, and the addition of herbs and lemon makes the taste of the salad incredibly light and fresh.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients. You can use salad tuna (there is already chopped fish in its own juice in a jar; such a jar will be cheaper). Red onions can be replaced with salad (sterling) or regular onions.
  2. Cut the peeled red onion into thin half rings.
  3. Pour 100 ml of water into a deep plate, add vinegar, sugar and 1 pinch of salt. Stir until salt and sugar dissolve. Add chopped onion and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  4. Drain all the marinade from the onion and transfer it to a deep plate.
  5. Cut a quarter of a lemon into thin slices along with the peel, and then cut into small pieces.
  6. Cucumber cut into slices of arbitrary size.
  7. Add the lemon and cucumber to the bowl with the pickled onions.
  8. Break the tuna into pieces with a fork and drain the juice. Transfer the canned fish to a bowl with the rest of the ingredients.
  9. Add 1 pinch of salt and pour in the olive oil.
  10. Add the dried herbs de Provence and gently toss the salad.
  11. Transfer the salad with tuna, cucumber and pickled onions to a salad bowl, garnish with parsley and a lemon wedge.
  12. Serve the salad immediately after preparation. So all the ingredients will retain their juiciness, while the salad will not drain and will be the most saturated in taste.
  13. Bon appetit!
