Snack waffle cake with herring, mushrooms and carrots

Snack waffle cake with herring, mushrooms and carrots is a great option for both everyday and festive tables.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. First you need to boil the carrots and eggs.
  2. Put the carrots in a saucepan, cover with water, put on maximum heat and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and cook the carrots for about 20-30 minutes, until soft.
  3. Send the eggs to a separate pan, pour water, put on maximum heat and bring the water to a boil. Then reduce the heat to a minimum and cook the eggs for 8 minutes.
  4. Cool boiled eggs and carrots in cold water.
  5. Peel and cut the carrots into arbitrary pieces (I did this to grind it in a blender, but you can use a regular grater or meat grinder instead).
  6. Transfer the chopped carrots to a blender.
  7. Grind carrots until smooth. Place carrot filling in a separate bowl.
  8. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes.
  9. Rinse mushrooms, dry and cut into small pieces.
  10. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Put half of the onion and mushrooms into the pan. Stirring, fry over medium heat for about 6-7 minutes, until the mushrooms are soft and excess moisture has evaporated.
  11. Transfer the fried mushrooms with onions to a blender bowl, grind until smooth.
  12. Then put the mushroom stuffing in a separate bowl.
  13. Send the herring to the blender bowl and add the second half of the chopped onion.
  14. Grind herring and onion until smooth. Transfer the herring filling to a separate bowl.
  15. Peel the eggs from the shell and grate on a fine grater.
  16. Salt and season all the fillings with ground pepper to taste.
  17. Now prepare the cakes. Lubricate the first cake with half of the herring filling.
  18. Cover the herring with the second cake. Lubricate with mayonnaise.
  19. Place half of the mushroom filling on top and smooth evenly.
  20. Cover with crust. Lubricate with mayonnaise. Place half of the carrot filling on top and smooth evenly.
  21. Repeat all layers one more time - herring, mushrooms, carrots. The final, 7 cake, grease with mayonnaise.
  22. Sprinkle the cake with grated eggs. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to soak.
  23. Snack waffle cake with herring, mushrooms and carrots is ready. You can serve it to the table, if desired, decorate with greens.
