A hearty, tasty, easy-to-prepare dish for a family or friendly dinner - spaghetti with chicken in tomato sauce.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Take the groceries from the list. Spaghetti can be replaced with any pasta of your choice.
  2. I chopped the tomatoes in a blender, but you can take tomato juice or tomato paste diluted with water.
  3. Boil spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package instructions.
  4. Drain the spaghetti in a colander to drain all the water.
  5. While the spaghetti is cooking, separate the chicken from the bone, skin and fat. Cut the fillet into small pieces.
  6. Peel the onion and cut into cubes. In a frying pan with heated vegetable (preferably olive) oil, fry the onion for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add the chicken to the onion. Pepper, add your favorite spices.
  8. Stir and fry for a couple of minutes until the chicken fillet turns white.
  9. Add chopped fresh tomatoes or tomato juice, salt and a little sugar (optional). Simmer for about 10 minutes over low heat.
  10. Peel the garlic, finely chop or pass through a press and add to the pan with chicken in tomato sauce. Add dried basil. Simmer another 5 minutes.
  11. Add the cooked spaghetti to the tomato sauce.
  12. Stir and heat for a few minutes.
  13. Serve spaghetti in tomato sauce, topped with grated cheese and garnished with fresh herb leaves. Bon appetit!
