A delicious bacon-flavoured pasta cream sauce. This is a slightly modified version of the traditional Italian Carbonara pasta. Unlike the original, cream and onions are added to the sauce here.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the ingredients for the sauce. 3 eggs, about 120 grams of bacon, garlic, onion and parmesan.
  2. Heat a small amount of olive oil in a frying pan, fry the onion and bacon for about 10 minutes, until everything is browned.
  3. At this time, in a bowl, mix eggs, cream, salt, seasonings well. Add grated Parmesan to this and mix well again.
  4. Add finely chopped garlic to the browned bacon and onion and, stirring, fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add sauce to the pan
  6. We warm up for 3-5 minutes on a small "fire", stirring from time to time. The goal is to let the sauce warm up well. Taste, adding salt/pepper if necessary.
  7. While the sauce is being prepared, cook the pasta: The average portion is 100 grams of pasta per person per liter of water per 1 tsp. salt. In my case, based on the amount of sauce, it was 350 grams of spaghetti and about 3.5 liters of water. Bring water to a boil, add salt to taste and add pasta. Boil according to the time indicated on the package.
  8. Usually it is 7-10 minutes.
  9. Meanwhile, our sauce is ready.
  10. Put the pasta in a large bowl, pour sauce over everything and mix.
  11. Serve immediately. For serving, it is recommended to use basil. Unfortunately, I didn’t find it, so parsley is noticeable in the photo :) Bon appetit!
