Stir-fried halloumi cheese with mushrooms

Four ingredients, some spices and 15 minutes to spare are all it takes to prepare this delicious and satisfying vegetarian keto dish.

  1. Rinse the mushrooms in cold water, remove the bottom of the stems and cut into pieces or slices.
  2. Melt a large piece of butter in a skillet.
  3. Saute the mushrooms over medium heat for 3-5 minutes, or until they are golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add a second slice of butter to the skillet if necessary and sauté the halloumi cheese for two minutes on each side.
  5. Stir the mushrooms from time to time to prevent them from burning. When the dish is almost done, reduce the heat.
  6. Serve with homemade olives and mayonnaise (optional).
