Taboule is a classic dish of Lebanese cuisine. This cold salad, which combines the refreshing taste of mint with vegetables and bulgur, complemented by a slight lemon sourness, will taste perfect in hot weather. It is prepared simply and quickly, but you need to allow a couple of hours to cool.

  1. Bring to a boil over high heat 500 ml of water with 0.5 teaspoon of salt and 2 tablespoons of oil. When it boils, pour this mixture over the bulgur in a saucepan and leave for 1 hour.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the remaining oil with lemon juice, 0.5 teaspoons of salt, and freshly ground pepper. Add bulgur and mix thoroughly. Add mint, parsley, tomatoes, cucumber, and onion. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Cover with a lid and refrigerate for 2 hours. Serve cold.
