Homemade Japanese cuisine salad is made from potatoes, carrots, fresh cucumber and green peas. This salad is most similar to Olivier, the only difference is that the potatoes are not cut into pieces during cooking, but are mashed with a crush into a heterogeneous puree.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel potatoes and carrots.
  2. (It is advisable to boil the root vegetables in advance and cool completely. I usually cook the night before.)
  3. Lightly mash the potatoes with a potato masher to get a heterogeneous mashed potatoes with pieces.
  4. Drain liquid from canned peas.
  5. (If you have fresh, then you can immediately add it to the salad, and frozen peas must first be thawed.)
  6. Dice cucumber and carrot. If the cucumber is very juicy, not a salad type, then you can first remove the seeds from it.
  7. Finely chop the green onion.
  8. Put all the ingredients in a salad bowl with potatoes, add mayonnaise. Salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Stir. Japanese potato salad is ready! The dish can be served immediately after preparation.
