Orange cake with sweet sauce

Ingredients

  1. Melt butter and cool. Turn on and preheat the oven.
  2. Beat 3 eggs with 200 g of sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add zest of 2 oranges. Pour in 95 g of cream (10%). Add a pinch of salt.
  4. Beat 2 minutes.
  5. Add 180 g of sifted flour, 5 g (1 teaspoon) of baking powder.
  6. Mix.
  7. Add 50 g melted butter (NOT HOT). Mix.
  8. Pour the dough into a mold greased with butter and sprinkled with flour.
  9. Bake the orange cake in an oven preheated to 160°C for 50-60 minutes.
  10. Pour freshly squeezed juice of 2 oranges into a saucepan, add 40 g of sugar and 1 teaspoon of potato starch.
  11. Place over heat and stir until sugar dissolves and orange sauce thickens (1-2 minutes).
  12. On the surface of the finished orange cake, make punctures with a toothpick. Drizzle cake with orange sauce.
  13. Orange cake with sweet sauce can be decorated with orange slices.
