Simple and no frills, but very tasty!

  1. We collect the necessary set of products for making pea porridge.
  2. We take shelled peas and wash them well, after which we soak for 1-6 hours (depending on patience).
  3. After the patience runs out, wash the soaked peas again and fill with water in an amount twice the amount of peas, in our case, pour 2 cups. Bring to a boil and, stirring constantly so as not to burn, cook over low heat for at least 40 minutes. If by this time all the water has boiled away, add a little.
  4. After the start of cooking peas, we prepare dressing from carrots and onions.
  5. We rub the carrots on a grater, if not laziness - on a small one, if laziness - on a large one.
  6. We cut the onion. Small or large - as it turns out. It won't affect the result in any way.
  7. Fry the grated carrots in oil over low heat. Any oil - olive or sunflower. An olive turned up under my arm.
  8. As soon as the carrots begin to blush, add the chopped onion.
  9. With constant stirring over low heat, bring the dressing to a golden color. At the same time, do not forget to stir the peas so that they do not burn.
  10. After the allocated 40 minutes and constant stirring, salt the resulting pea mass to taste and grind until pea puree is obtained.
  11. Finally, the last step - add the prepared dressing to the resulting pea puree, mix well, honestly divide it into all and burst with pleasure! Bon appetit!
