A simple and tasty Azerbaijani dish adapted for a slow cooker. Vegetarians cook with vegetable oil, non-vegetarians add butter

  1. Peel the pumpkin, cut into cubes and place on the bottom of the bowl.
  2. Rinse the lentils and sprinkle over the pumpkin.
  3. The recipe called for green lentils and it needs to be boiled first. But we love red lentils more. You don't need to boil it, it will boil quickly.
  4. Put a layer of finely chopped onion on the lentils.
  5. Rinse the rice and place on top of the onion. Add salt, oil, pour 1.5 cups of water.
  6. Cook in the Pilaf / Porridge mode.
  7. Mix the finished dish and serve hot.
