The strawberry harvest is in full swing - it's time to please yourself and your family with new gourmet dishes. We will prepare very fragrant pasta with an unusual strawberry, garlic, mint and basil sauce. The sauce is prepared without the use of a stove. You just need to boil the pasta, and then combine everything.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients. Choose your choice of pasta.
  2. Buy strawberries that are ripe and of good quality. The taste of the sauce depends on the sweetness of the strawberries. If the berries are sour, the sauce will turn out sour.
  3. Any basil will do, mine is green.
  4. Instead of parmesan cheese, you can use any hard cheese.
  5. Place the strawberries in a bowl of cold water so that the berries float freely. Leave for a couple of minutes so that all the dirt settles to the bottom of the bowl.
  6. Remove the sepals from the strawberries, looking at each berry so that there are no damaged ones. Rinse the peeled strawberries again with running cold water.
  7. Bring 1 liter of water to a boil in a saucepan, salt (0.5 tsp). Pour in the pasta. I cooked the pasta for 10 minutes, until soft (you are guided by the time indicated on the package).
  8. While the pasta is cooking, pour the strawberries into a deep bowl (so that it can then hold the boiled pasta). Mash the strawberries with a potato masher or fork. I like it when bits of berries are felt.
  9. Rinse the basil and mint leaves, put them on a sieve. Then pat dry with paper towel.
  10. Finely chop the prepared leaves with a knife.
  11. Crush the peeled garlic with a knife and chop (if you do not like garlic, you can not use it).
  12. Add garlic, basil and mint to crushed strawberries. Stir.
  13. Pour in 0.5 tbsp. tablespoons olive oil, salt to taste. Stir. The original sauce is ready.
  14. Drain cooked pasta in a colander to drain all liquid.
  15. Add pasta to sauce. Stir.
  16. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
  17. Pour the remaining oil (0.5 tablespoons) into the pasta and add the cheese. Mix everything.
  18. Pasta with strawberry sauce is ready!
  19. Transfer the pasta to a serving dish, garnish with mint or basil leaves, and serve.
  20. Enjoy your meal!
