Pork rolls - a real Ukrainian dish that will not only decorate your holiday table, but also become a favorite for those who tried it for the first time. And this is not surprising! After all, the combination of ingredients that are part of the filling, as well as fried and then - baked meat give an unforgettable aroma and a special delicate taste. You should cook such rolls at least once to see for yourself and enjoy the dish and the cooking process.

  1. So, with a knife, remove the peel from the onion and immediately after that wash the ingredient under running water. Spread the vegetables on a cutting board and cut with a knife into two halves, and then cut each onion part into two halves along the fruit. And now chop the onion across the halves into small quarters of a circle. Finely chopped onions are transferred to a clean plate.
  2. Put the eggs in a small saucepan and fill them with water so that the liquid is completely covered. After that, put the container on high heat. And after boiling water, make a medium heat and cook eggs cool for 7-10 minutes. immediately after that turn off the stove and put the pan under cold running water in the sink. Leave the eggs for 2 minutes in such a state that they cool completely and become room temperature, and we did not bother to remove the shell from them later.
  3. Now clean the cooked ingredient from the shell with your hands and rinse again under running water to wash away the remaining pieces of shell. Spread the eggs on a cutting board and with a knife finely chop them into small squares no larger than 1-1.5 centimeters. Transfer the chopped component to a free plate.
  4. So, first wash the mushrooms under running water and immediately after that spread them on a paper kitchen towel to drain excess liquid. Now, more conveniently placing the ingredient on the cutting board, remove the rough tails with a knife and then - cut the product into small pieces. Put the chopped mushrooms in a clean plate.
  5. To prepare this dish, I advise you to use mozzarella cheese. After all, this milk ingredient will give our dish tenderness and a pleasant creamy aroma. This cheese tastes a little salty with a slight sourness. It is easily melted at high temperatures, and since we will bake our pork rolls in the oven, the soft cheese will combine all the other components into one palette of taste. In general, the taste is unforgettable, and did not benefit from it, as it contains the necessary vitamins, as well as macro - and micronutrients. That's why with the help of a medium grater rub mozzarella cheese directly over a clean plate and set aside for now.
  6. So, put the pan on medium heat, pour into a container 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable or olive oil. When the oil starts to heat up, put the chopped onion in a frying pan and, stirring everything from time to time with a wooden spatula, fry the ingredient for 10 minutes until the onion becomes soft and starts to turn yellow.
  7. Immediately after that, put the chopped mushrooms in a container with fried onions and mix everything well with a wooden spatula, fry the ingredients for another 10-15 minutes until all the mushroom juice evaporates and the mushrooms turn brown. Note: do not forget to continue to stir everything from time to time with a spatula. After that, turn off the heat and leave the vegetable roasting aside to cool slightly.
  8. Put in a bowl chilled fried vegetables, chopped eggs and grated mozzarella cheese. Salt and pepper to taste. And now mix everything well with a tablespoon to form a homogeneous mass.
  9. Wash the pork well under running warm water. Then wipe the ingredient dry using paper kitchen towels. Spread the meat on a cutting board and cut it with a knife across the fibers into pieces about 0.9 - 1 centimeter thick.
  10. Then salt and pepper each piece of pork on both sides if desired and beat the meat with a special hammer. This way our main ingredient will become even thinner in thickness and we will not have to worry about the fact that it will be inconvenient to wrap the filling.
  11. So, the stuffed meat is ready, so you can move on to the most important stage of cooking. Using a tablespoon twice, spread a piece of pork filling on the edge. And now turn the meat into a roll, starting from the edge where the filling is.
  12. And so that the pork roll does not fall apart in the process of its further cooking, pierce it with 2-3 toothpicks through, fixing the free edge. You can also use a special thread and wrap it around our dish several times. The finished roll is transferred to a free plate.
  13. And now the fun begins! Put the pan with a little oil on medium heat. When the oil starts to boil, place the pork rolls in a bowl and fry until golden brown on all sides.
  14. And now, using a wooden spatula, transfer the fried rolls from the pan to the pan, stacking them tightly together. Then carefully pour purified water into the container, trying to get the jet into the empty spaces between the rolls and the sides of the sheet.
  15. And in the end we pour pork rolls with cream on all surface of a dish. If desired, the stuffed meat can be additionally salted and peppered. Then put the pan with rolls in a preheated oven and bake at 180 ° -190 ° C for 30 minutes.
  16. Immediately after that, pork rolls can be served. There are two options on how to do this! First: with a wooden spatula or ordinary spoon spread all the meat rolls on a special dish to serve. If desired, you can also decorate the baked meat with parsley leaves and slices of tomato. But it's more for the holiday table! It turns out a very beautiful and tasty dish that will not leave indifferent any guest. Well, the second option to pamper loved ones for dinner: spread a few pork rolls on a plate and serve as a main course with any side dish to your liking.
