Even a not too luxurious table will make a spectacular decoration of salads and other dishes festive. Making an original bow decoration is not difficult at all, I will tell you how to make an aster from a bow.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel the onion from the husk. Where the onion has a rhizome, just wash it well, you don’t need to cut it, or very little, otherwise the flower will fall apart.
  2. Cut the onion in half with a sharp knife, but do not cut all the way through. Then in half again, also not reaching the end. And so each half - a few more times in half, without cutting to the end.
  3. Dip the onion for a couple of hours in ice water, colored with beetroot juice, and add a little vinegar to the water - then the onion smell will go away. The flower should open in the water. If you need it urgently, you can help manually - VERY CAREFULLY spread the flower petals! Onion aster is ready!
