There are many recipes for the Lebanese Fattoush salad, but the basis of the salad is fresh vegetables and fried slices of bread tortillas. For my family, I cook Fattoush salad from fresh vegetables, herbs and fried lavash.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Arrange pieces of pita bread on a baking sheet (tear pita bread with your hands into small pieces).
  2. Bake pita bread until golden brown.
  3. Wash tomatoes, radish, cucumber well. Cut tomatoes and cucumbers into small cubes.
  4. Radishes cut into slices.
  5. Free the bell pepper from the stalk and seeds and cut into cubes.
  6. Rinse mint and parsley and finely chop.
  7. Cut lettuce leaves or tear with your hands into small pieces.
  8. Peel the onion and chop finely.
  9. Pass the garlic through a press or finely chop.
  10. Mix olive oil with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Add garlic to dressing, stir.
  11. Mix vegetables in a bowl and pour dressing over vegetable salad.
  12. Sprinkle vegetable salad "Fattoush" on top with toasted pita bread and serve.
