The salad is very juicy and tasty. Watermelon after heat treatment becomes more like some kind of juicy vegetable than a berry or fruit. And if you add cherry tomatoes, onions, arugula and a little pesto sauce to it, you get a very interesting flavor combination. I recommend to try! Bon appetit!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Let's start with watermelon. Before cooking, chopped watermelon must be salted, peppered and sprinkled with a little olive oil. This must be done on both sides.
  2. Then fry the watermelon on the grill, heated to 200 degrees, for 2 minutes on each side. Let's cool down.
  3. Cut the flesh of the watermelon from the peel and cut it into large pieces.
  4. Cut the purple onion into thin feathers.
  5. Cut cherry tomatoes into 2 parts each.
  6. It's time to assemble the salad. Arrange lettuce leaves on a plate. Add a tablespoon of pesto and mix them together.
  7. Next, spread the red onion feathers, cherry tomatoes and slices of grilled watermelon on top.
  8. Add a little olive oil to the remaining pesto sauce and mix. Pour the salad with watermelon and tomatoes on top of the resulting dressing.
  9. Grilled watermelon, cherry tomato, onion and arugula salad with pesto sauce served at the table.
  10. Bon appetit!
